Power and Distribution Transformer Manufacturer Since 1991
Jiangsu Yuantong Electric Co., Ltd. is a transformer manufacturer in China, based in Hai’an, Jiangsu. Since 1991 we have designed and built power transformers, distribution transformers, dry-type transformers, box-type substations and special transformers in our own factories, with more than 300 employees and 22 invention patents.
Our customers include State Grid Corporation of China, China Southern Power Grid, the five major power generation groups and large industrial and mining companies. We also export to more than 20 countries across Africa, the Middle East, Russia and Central Asia, South and Southeast Asia, and North America, with US$10 million in export sales over the past two years.

35 Years of Building Transformers
1991
Founded as a Special Transformer Maker
We started by producing special transformers, current transformers and rectifier transformers.
1998
Restructured as Nantong Julong
The business was restructured as Nantong Julong Electrical Equipment Co., Ltd.
2008
10,530 m² Factory and New Company
We built a 10,530 m² standard factory and established Jiangsu Yuantong Electric Co., Ltd.
2025
53,000 m² Intelligent Factory
Our new factory automates production lines, material logistics and information flow.

Questions About Yuantong Electric
We are a manufacturer. Since 1991 Jiangsu Yuantong Electric has designed and built transformers in its own factories in Hai’an, Jiangsu, China. Cores, coils, tanks and final assembly are produced on site, and every unit is tested in our own test hall before shipment.
We export to more than 20 countries, including Kenya, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia and the USA. Recent export records include 1,500 units to Kenya and 330 units to Russia. See our Projects & Export Markets page for details.
Yes. We design transformers to IEC or GB standards, or to the standard named in your specification. Voltage, capacity, vector group, cooling, accessories and nameplate can all be customized, and we accept orders from a single unit, so you can test a sample before a full project order.
Our management systems are certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, and our low-voltage products hold CE attestation under the Low Voltage and EMC directives. We also hold 22 invention patents. See Technology & Certifications for the certificates.
Yes. Customers are welcome to visit our factory in Hai’an, Jiangsu, or to arrange a video tour. Contact our sales team to schedule a visit, and we will help with travel arrangements from Shanghai or Nantong. Third-party pre-shipment inspection can also be arranged.
